Under 800: USCF membership required, games will be rated. Must have a rating of
799 or below to enter. Trophies to top three, top three u600, u400, u200 and all plus
scores.
Unrated: No USCF membership required, the games will not be rated. Trophies to top
three in each group of K-8, K-4, K-1 and all plus scores.
ROUND TIMES: 11, 1, 2:30, 4.
Please request byes when you register. Half-point all rounds (limit 2), must commit before
1st round. If you must leave and will miss a round, you must contact one of the room TDs.
To leave without notification means a player has no one to play.
Advanced Registration: $25 received by midnight Thursday, Aug 24 Online at
www.gwinnettchess.com.  $30. If you register Saturday onsite by 9:30am to play the first round. Please

WHO: Open to any player in grade 12 and below
WHAT: 4SS, G/25;d5 for all sections .
ROUNDS: 11:30; 1:15; 2:30; 4:15
4 SECTIONS: UNRATED, U-600, 600-1099, Premier(1100 or Above)

Temple Restrictions to the Tournament Hall/Cafeteria

  • Outside Park/Cafeteria hall space open for Parents
  • Cafeteria only fruits and vegetables allowed – NO MEAT
  • Outside Park/Cafeteria hall space open for Parents

3 Rated Sections, USCF membership required: Under 600; 600 – 1099 and Premier for players rated 1000 and above. Players may play up one section if within 100 points of the section. So a player rated 500 can play up in the 600 – 999 section and a player 900 can play up in the Premier section.

1 Unrated Section: Open to any Unrated player and any player rated below 600 who wants to play Unrated. No USCF memberships required. If you are new wishing to get a rating, play in U-600.

Note: Sections may be combined at TD’s discretion.
Advance entry received by midnight, Thursday, June 15th is $25.

Late registration: $30 June 16th – June 23rd at 5pm when online registration will close. Onsite registration begins at 10:00 $35. Register onsite by 10:45 am to be guaranteed to be paired for round #1. If later, you may get a 1/2 point bye in Rd #1.

Format:           5 – SS; G/120, d/10; (2 day schedule, round 1 G/90, d/10); $13,500 in prizes 100% Guaranteed!

 

Sections          Master (2200 and up): $2100 – $1250 – $750 – $450; U2400: $1050 – $650.

& Prizes:         Expert (2000 – 2199): $900 – $650 – $400.

Class A (1800 – 1999): $800 – $500 – $300.

Class B (1600 – 1799): $600 – $400 – $250.

Class C (1400 – 1599): $500 – $300 – $200.

Class D (1200 – 1399): $400 – $250 – $150.

Under 1200 (100 – 1199): $350 – $200 – $100.

Official June ratings used. Players may request to use latest unofficial US Chess rating if higher. This will be used if player would otherwise be unrated. Players rated within 100 points of next higher section may play one section up, except must be 2150 to play Master section. Unrated may play any section except Master. Prize limit of $150 in U1200, $200 in D, $250 in C, $300 in B, $350 in A, and $400 in Expert to all unrated players and to rated players with fewer than 10 lifetime rated games who are not playing up. Balance of any limited prize goes to next player(s) in line.

Entry Fee:       Rated players: $79 if received by June 15. $100 later or at site. Unrated players: $50. Re-entry: $50.

All parking at Emory is either in Fishburne or Peavine parking decks. No parking next to Cox Hall. Please allow time to walk from the deck to Cox Hall (the building with the clock tower.)

Note: campers have the opportunity to register as part of the camp registration process and continue their room and board plan through the weekend, OR if they prefer to stay elsewhere and eat on their own over the weekend, they can select the “camp only” option and then register for the tournament separately.

Kid Chess (AAC’s Parent Company) is organizing our biannual Girls’ Open Tournament.

This is an unrated, Rapid Pairing Tournament for Female Scholastic (K-5) players.
Check-In: 8:45am to 9:00am
Tournament: 9:15am until Trophy Ceremony at 12:30pm
Trophies awarded to all students with a plus score. Every participant will receive a medal.
